Job description 职责描述： The chief is responsible for acquiring, organizing, managing and distributing library resources, and ensuring that library provision meets the needs of all its users. 1. selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources 2. using library systems and specialist computer applications 3. management of staff, including recruitment, training and/or supervisory duties 4. liaising with departmental academic staff, external organizations and suppliers 5. ensuring that library services meet the needs of particular groups of users （***. staff, postgraduate students, disabled students） 6. managing budgets and resources 7. supporting independent research and learning 8. developing IT facilities 9. assisting readers to use computer equipment, conduct literature searches etc 10. promoting the library＇s resources to users  11. answering readers＇ enquiries Qualifications 应聘条件： 1. a bachelor degree or above with qualifications related to library or information management  2. strong IT skills and familiarity with the use of databases and the internet 3. assessment of resources and library users＇ needs 4. subject-specific knowledge or expertise in a particular function, for example ICT resources or resource ordering 5. presentation and verbal communication skills 6. competency in using English as the working language and tutoring students’ essay in English  7. oversea learning experience or working experience in international schools is preferable
